When it comes to offline and online gambling in Utah, the discussion is quite short. Utah is one of the two states in the USA, where all forms of betting are illegal. The second state to run such a tight ship is Hawaii.
Utah has no land-based commercial or tribal casinos. Therefore, there are no live online casinos either (usually in the states, online gaming platforms are allowed only as virtual lobbies of already existing and licensed land-based gambling venues). Fans of games of chance won’t be able to enjoy slot machines, table games, and pokers.
The state also banned lottery and charitable gambling and closely monitors all forms of social and home-based gambling. There were even precedents of arrests. Needless to say, residents cannot own slot machines at home, even those older than 25 years that many other states allow for decorative and nostalgic purposes.
Surprisingly, after Utah chose a conservative path and banned all forms of gambling, a few Bingo parlors have survived. They are legal and protected by law but are considered low-value activities. The parlors need to maintain a limited number of games, as well as small prizes.
